Objective:
Our project's primary objective is to design and build an autonomous ground vehicle capable of perceiving its environment, reasoning about its state using machine learning, AI, and discrete algorithms, and executing actions while accounting for sensor uncertainty and vehicle dynamics.
Project Description:
Our team consists of five members working collaboratively on creating an autonomous vehicle. We have chosen Amazon DeepRacer as our ground vehicle platform. Throughout the project, we will explore the theory and practice of fundamental concepts in mobile robotics, including sensing, estimation, planning, control, architectures, implementation, and validation. Our project's culmination will involve robust autonomous ground vehicle operation within the competition context.

Gain hands-on experience with fundamental concepts in mobile robotics.
Apply theoretical insights to solve real-world robotics problems.
Explore the interdisciplinary nature of robotics, covering sensing, estimation, planning, control, architectures, implementation, and validation.
Enhance technical communication and teamwork skills.
Take ownership of a robotics problem and provide a solution through a team-designed and team-developed project.
Additionally, we implemented SLAM with a PID controller and successfully navigated the vehicle through the track. We delved into concepts such as Kalman filters, particle filters, and much more during our project implementation.
